These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of preorder-scout.us (the "Site"), which is operated by the preorder-scout.us team ("we", "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. A concept, not an offer

Scout is a fictional concept vehicle. The Site does not offer any vehicle for sale, does not take preorders or reservations, and does not accept payments. All specifications, prices, images and timelines are illustrative only. They are not promises, and they are not an offer to sell.

Joining the waitlist only means you will receive email news about the project. It does not give you any right to buy or receive a vehicle.

2. No affiliation

The Site has no connection to Scout Motors Inc., Volkswagen Group, or any other automaker. None of them endorse or sponsor it. Any trademarks of third parties belong to their owners.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site, and at least 16 in the EEA and UK, to join the waitlist.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site for anything unlawful;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems, or to disrupt them;
• scrape, copy or redistribute Site content at scale without our permission;
• submit someone else's email address without their permission;
• click on advertisements fraudulently or generate artificial traffic.

5. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, graphics and code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use.

6. Advertising and third-party links

The Site shows third-party ads and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Your dealings with advertisers are between you and them.

7. Disclaimer

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may change these Terms or the Site, or suspend the Site, at any time. When we change the Terms, we update the effective date. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of the Site is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of that place, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
